Darth Kallig Progression Photos

This helmet, cast in resin from a 3D printed original (designed by RuthlessFX, who can be found on Facebook and on the Web), is a fan-made replica of Darth Kallig's helmet from the popular game Star Wars: The Old Republic.  Prop building has long been a passion of mine, and this was the first personal project I've picked up in a long time.  The resin cast was cleaned up, and then the eyes, mouth and cheek 'grills' were pierced out.  Layered paint, aluminum mesh, curved lenses and a bit of scuffing complete the weathered metal look.

I am currently working on armor ideas to complement this piece as a possibly larger display in the future.  Thanks to RuthlessFX for the great work on the resin cast.  If you have a chance, check out his Iron Man armor--great stuff!
